Hong On L Wins E-Govt Contract

Bandar Seri Begawan - Hong Kong's Cascade Limited together with Universal Electronic Enterprise (UEE) and BCQRE has won a contract with the Brunei government for the deployment of a network infrastructure that will interconnect all government agencies, as reported in www.cmpnetasia.com.

Full integration of the project into the Brunei government's core network infrastructure is expected by the third quarter of this year.

Cascade Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong's fixed line giant, PCCW Limited, and a technical services groups operating,in the Asia Pacific. UEE is one of Brunei's leading IT companies while BCQRE is a major e-security solution provider in Korea.

Under t4ie contract, the involved parties will construct an Information Communications Technology (ICT) network infrastructure interconnecting all the government agencies with centralised management of common facilities.

Once completed, the infrastructure housed within the Network Operation Centre will enable the provision of service to 900 users that include 30 Wireless Access Points and two high-speed access links to the Internet.
