e-Government Conference Today At Empire

Bandar Seri Begawan - The e-Government Conference today will be presenting topics on its theme of `Enabling Government into 21st Century' and `Performance Management in Government' as well as issues in IT Security.

Syabas Technologies and IBM jointly organised the conference.

Taking place at the Empire Hotel and Country Club, the presentations will be conducted by Mr Jeremy Andrulis, Managing Consultant of IBM Consulting Services in Hong Kong, and Mr Jeffrey B Rogers, the IBM Software Group Director of WW Public Sector Industry Solutions. Mr Nigel SL Tan will discuss issues on IT Security.

Mr Andrulis has over 10 years of experience in consulting with the government, leading numerous healthcare strategies and business transformation projects that have delivered practical solutions as well as helped organisations improve their operational and team performances.

He has presented at various international conferences and previously assessed warranty claims for Ford Motor Company, worked for the US House Foreign Services Committee and facilitated the lending of micro-enterprise with a non-governmental organisation.

Mr Rogers, meanwhile, has over 20 years' experience in the IT industry with his focus on leveraging technology to meet the business challenges of clients in both the public and private sectors.

He has also served as the Executive Director for IBM Government Solution Centre in Washington that specialises in delivering relevant government demonstrations and prototypes, highlighting the technological capabilities available to assist them in meeting the challenges faced by governments worldwide.

The conference will conclude with a question-and-answer session with a line-up of panellists comprising Mr Andrulis, Mr Rogers, Hj Hamidon Hj Latip, Sheikh Abas Sheikh Mohamad and Mr Nigel SL Tan.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
