Leadership Roundtable on e-Government Courtesy of By June Ong
The Ministry jointly hosted
the whole-day session with Sapura (B) Sdn Bhd, a premier local
technology consulting firm. The Roundtable was facilitated by Professor Vasudevan Subrahmanyam,
Principal Consultant, Methods and Systems, Sapura
(B) Sdn Bhd. The objective of the
Transformation Leadership Roundtable was to enable key role players
articulate the strategic intent, goals and benefits of e-government; assume
leadership roles at different levels of the organisation
with understanding; and champion the cause of the e-government initiative in
a programmed, coordinated and practical manner within their ministries and
departments. Following a scene-setting session which outlined the context of the Roundtable including a statement of ground rules, appointed Table leaders led a timed discussion at each table on a topic pivotal to Electronic Government planning.
