Employee Trust Fund Goes Electronic

Bandar Seri Begawan In the challenging era of globalisation, social security agencies such as the Employee Trust Fund (TAP) should act fast in diversifying products and services.

 

Products and services offered through the electronic information system not only to help maintain and expand TAP, but it also reduce long-term operation cost.

 

This was underscored by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Pehin Dato Awang Haji Hussain at the launching of the Electronic Information System for the trust fund known as “Info TAP”.

 

The minister also urged TAP board of directors, investment panels and particularly the management to realise and improve the existing service strategies.

 

The info system was introduced as a basic service to TAP members to access any information from TAP’s records by using the innovative smart identification cards recently issued by the Immigration Department.

 

The electronic information system machines is allocated in various TAP branches in Belait, Tutong and Temburong, while for Bandar Seri Begawan it is located at the Immigration and National Registrar Office while another machine is at TAP office at IBB Building.
